IBEX in Tampa
This was my third year shooting video at The International Boatbuilders Conference and Exhibition (IBEX) that takes place early October in Tampa each year. These are the videos I created this year for the show with footage I shot last year. The videos are used onsite, for social media, email marketing and as a sales tool. I even made a hologram video this year that was built as part of a display. Check out the videos below if you’re curious. It’s a cool show for anyone into boating.
Visitor Numbers Infographic
Quick infographic highlighting visitor stats from the previous year. I borrowed some assets from the print piece, as well as create new assets for this video.
Networking
A 30 second video for social highlighting some networking opportunities while exhibiting at IBEX. Good music, sun and boats seem to get people together!
The Docks
There are boat docks right behind the Tampa Convention Center where people can jump right in a boat and take a ride, see what is has on board, ask questions, check out new gear or just talk shop.
Exhibit Hall and Products
I love the shots in this 30 second video for social. This one highlights some shots from the exhibit floor as well as some products you may see on the show floor.
Education Promo
I put this one together as an animation idea. I liked it and sent it over to them…they loved it, so used it. I love the text animations in this one and the use of interview footage with the b-roll.
Education
Education is a big part of the IBEX experience and they do a great job at bringing in industry experts to share their knowledge, so they wanted to highlight a bit of that here.

This is something sales uses as an asset to help educate their clients on what’s available for advertising opportunities at the show. Be it the exhibitor guide, wall clings, sponsored rooms, escalator clings, we try showing those assets here in this video to help show exactly what you’re buying and where it is onsite.

This video is a compilation of sponsor advertisements that played onsite for the duration of IBEX 2019. I created the first 1:30 highlighting the show sponsors, then I just added on the sponsor advertisements into one complete video so it will rotate nicely onsite. Placed in a busy hall and meeting area, the video gets seen thousands of times over the course of a few days.
Marinas of the Future
This video was played onsite at IBEX 2019 on the first floor of the Tampa Convention Center in a meeting and lounge area in the middle of the show floor. The videos were played to educate passersby, attendees and exhibitors. It looped for 3 days straight so the sponsors got a lot of airplay in the area.
